Celebrating Diversity and Giving Back: Our Pride Month Feature in Women’s Wear Daily

A Legacy of Pride and Progress
Pride Month, which began in 1999 when President Bill Clinton declared June as “Gay and Lesbian Pride Month,” has evolved to include a wider spectrum of queer identities under the presidencies of Barack Obama and Joe Biden. This month-long celebration not only acknowledges the advancements towards equality, protection, and inclusion but also honors the diverse contributions of the LGBTQIA+ community to our society.
